John Milton Abbott, a member of St. Therese Parish, died March 3. He was 72.
Mr. Abbott was born July 5, 1937. He graduated from Garfield High School in Seattle in 1955. He served four years with the Marine Corps, then served 18 more with the Air Force. He retired in 1978.
He earned a bachelor’s degree at Portland State University and was employed by Konica.
PENDLETON — Mary Curl died Feb. 23 here. She was 85.
Mrs. Curl was born July 11, 1924, in Spokane, Wash. She graduated from Pendleton High School in 1942 and married Cecyl Curl Jr. in 1986.
She was preceded in death by parents and her husbands.
She is survived by her son Grant Johnson, Dover, Del.
ROCKWALL, Texas — Matthew Curtis Doty died March 4 here. He was 54.
LaMonte “Monte” Dover, a member of St. Clare Church, died March 2. He was 84.
Mr. Dover was born Jan. 8, 1926, in Garnett, Kan. After a stint in the U.S. Army during World War II, he moved to Eugene and married Mildred Eisenbeis in 1951, and they moved to Portland. He began a 35-year career at Consolidated Freightways.
Marilyn Grace (Jacobson) Holland died March 1. She was 73.
Mrs. Holland was born Dec. 24, 1936, in Williston, N.D. She worked for the Federal Reserve.
She is survived by her children, Gary Holland and Melissa Larson.
A memorial service was held March 8 at St. Matthew Church in Hillsboro.
CANBY — Muriel Smith Burford Marvin, a member of St. Patrick Church here, died March 2. She was 91.
Frank James Rock died Feb. 26. He was 50.
Mr. Rock was born July 8, 1959, in Brownsville, Texas. He worked as a deck hand.
He is survived by his son, Frank Jr.
A memorial Mass was celebrated March 11, at St. Therese Church.
SHERWOOD — Emilia Elizabeth Sanders, a member of St. Francis Church here, died Feb. 27. She was 90.
Mrs. Sanders was born Dec. 13, 1919, in Curlew, Wash., and her family moved to Sherwood in 1927, where she lived her entire life except for the final two years when she moved to Sheridan to live with her son.
ENCINO, Calif. — Sister Odette (Geraldine) Noone, a Sister of Social Service, died March 7 here. She was 97.
Colleen Stupfel, a member of St. Thomas More Church, died March 2. She was 83.
