Ernie Corno, a member of St. Stephen Parish in Southeast Portland, died Thursday, Aug. 14 in Portland. He was 96.
Mr. Corno was born April 20, 1912 in Portland and graduated from Washington High School. He ran the meat market at his family business, Corno’s Market and was a member of Riverside Country Club and Portland Bowling Hall of Fame.
He is preceded by spouses Margaret, who died in 1972 after 39 years of marriage, and Doris, who died in 2002 after 28 years of marriage.
Survivors are daughter Barbara Perkin; son Alvin Corno; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held Aug. 20 at St. Philip Neri Church. Remembrances may be made to Hopewell House Hospice Center.
