Donald Arthur Leahy, a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, died Wednesday, July 30 in Portland of natural causes. He was 74.
Mr. Leahy was born Sept. 11, 1933 in Portland and attended Cathedral school and Central Catholic High School. He attended Oregon State University, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, and also went to Portland State University.
In 1955, he married Betty Williams. The couple later divorced. He owned and operated Don Leahy Construction and participated in the Great Oregon Steam-Up in Brooks.
Survivors include daughters Christie Abel and Peggy Anne Leahy; son Scott Morrison; sister Kathleen Hoff; brothers Jim, Ken, Dennis, Tom, Larry and Mike Leahy; uncle Don Gross and six grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Aug. 5 at the Cathedral. Remembrances may be made to Pacific NW Truck Museum, 39995 Brooklake Rd., in Brooks.
