Beverly Beall

Beverly Jean Beall died Nov. 5 with her family beside her. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at St. Rita Church in Portland. The recitation of the rosary with precede the Mass at 10:30 a.m.

She was born Feb. 19, 1933, to John and Clara Kreick in Portland. She attended Gregory Heights Grade School and Grant High School where she was the 1950 Rose Festival Princess.

She graduated from the University of Oregon in 1954 with a degree in business and was an Alpha Phi. It was at there that she met her future husband, Jerry Beall. They were married Sept. 10, 1955, and made their first home at Fort Benning, Georgia. She then moved to Portland while her husband served as an Infantry officer in Korea.

Mrs. Beall worked part time for the David Douglas School District for 20 years. In 2010, she and her husband made a donation to the University of Oregon which established the Beall Family Undergraduate Suite at the Lundquist School of Business.

She and her husband were avid Duck fans and often traveled with the team to road games. She was a devoted grandma, rarely missing a game, recital or event for any of her fourteen grandkids. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends all over the world.

Mrs. Beall is survived by her husband and her five children: James, Michael, Mark, Leanne Beall Gabriel, and Brent, and their spouses, 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mrs. Beall had a big extended family and a host of friends including the Clackamas Town Center mall walkers.
