Regarding “Fit for God” (Jan. 6, page 1):
I commend Father Sean Weeks for giving great example for making time to stay fit for God.
Sarah Wolf captured some key points on why and how we all should exercise. Staying fit and healthy doesn’t happen by accident or through much of our work and leisure. It has to be intentional.
At 77, my way is 30 minutes of daily stretches — ankle/leg lifts, modified crunches, arm reaches and windmills, wall exercises, and isometrics with fingers, hands, and arms. My posture is aided by standing straight against the wall, and sitting straight-legged to stretch hamstrings. This has been my morning wake-up routine for 30 years.
