On ‘Rethinking the Galileo Case’ (Feb. 3, page 9)

With all my heart, I thank you for illuminating, with such erudition, the famous Galileo trial. It’s important that Galileo lacked proof of his heliocentric beliefs.

Thank you for quoting Brother Louis de Montfort Nguyen, a monk scientist who teaches a course at Mount Angel Seminary on faith and science: “The Catholic Church isn’t in any way against science.”

In 2018, Brother Louis will be teaching a class entitled “In the Image of God: Towards an Adequate Anthropology of Man as the Image of the Divine.” One does not need to be a seminarian to take his class. The class will answer questions such as, “What are the origin amd evolution of human beings?” and “Are human beings a cosmic accident, an evolutionary fluke or truly the image of God?” Contact the seminary if you are interested in his class.
