OREGON CITY — John “Jack” Arthur Leedham, 85, died peacefully Jan. 16. There will be a rosary at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at St. John the Apostle Church.  Immediately following the Mass, a committal service will be held at St. John the Apostle Cemetery (451 Warner St, Oregon City).

Mr. Leedham was born April 5, 1931, to Thomas and Frances Leedham. Mr. Leedham married Yvonne DuBell in 1966, she preceded him in death in 1986. They spent most of their married life in Oregon City where Mr. Leedham enjoyed the simple things in life like drawing, fishing and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family and devoting his life to the community that he lived in.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War as a private. He served his community by working for both Clackamas Community College and St. John the Apostle School. He devoted more than 51 years to his work for St. John. Friends say that when a person entered Mr. Leedham’s home, he filled the room with great laughter and brilliant stories. He loved to joke around and never lost his sense of humor.

Mr. Leedham requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John the Apostle School (516 Fifth St., Oregon City, 97045)

He is survived by two of his brothers, Jimmy and Bob, and his two sisters Pat and Florence. He was also survived by 7 daughters, 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
