(Portland, OR) — Gregory Pulver of the University of Portland's Performing and Fine Arts Department will direct Jesus Christ Superstar by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. This rock opera, debuted in 1971, follows the events occurring during the last few days of Jesus's life as described in the Gospels. Additionally, it focuses largely on the perspective of Judas Iscariot and includes interpersonal conflicts between him and Jesus that are exempt from biblical narratives. This performance will be held in University of Portland's Mago Hunt Center Theater. Show times are 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday-Saturday, April 19-22 and 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 23.

Special Invitation for Saturday, April 22 performance only:

All ticket holders are invited to enjoy a complimentary wine and cheese reception as campus experts highlight intriguing themes and production details, courtesy of the Garaventa Center.
